Garfield

Atari

Garfield was an obvious candidate for an Atari game. We met with Jim Davis at least once, though I think we generally dealt through his representatives.

The game was programmed by Steve Woita, who was almost done with it when Jack Tramiel bought Atari and shut the project down. (Steve's "trademark" was those green thingies at the top and bottom of his title screens.) Garfield finally saw the light of day at the 2000 Classic Gaming Expo.

This is a kids' game, with fun action and little violence - unless you count giant hamburgers flying at Garfield's head. Our hero hops from fencepost to fencepost so he can get to Jon's house and harass Odie.
