Scorpio Rose™

SCORPIO ROSE began as a 3-part series for Eclipse Comics, with Marshall Rogers as the artist. Marshall was involved in some non-comics situations at the time, and after doing the first two issues, he got extremely delayed reaching the third, going months past the deadline. By the time he gave me something to work with, I'd decided that third issue was better off being the legendary "one-that-never-came out" than the "one-that-arrived-as-an-anticlimax." Not putting out a book was unheard of then - but I still think it was the right thing to do. The penciled splash page below is all that was ever seen publicly until COYOTE™ COLLECTION #1, where the whole story finally appeared.

The gypsy witch made her triumphant return as a backup feature in COYOTE, with some of Todd McFarlane's earliest art. She later joined the cast in the main Coyote story.

Then, she guest-starred along with Coyote and the Djinn™ in PHANTOM OF FEAR CITY.

Finally, she co-starred with Ben Dunn's Warrior Nun Areala in a 4-parter.

Since she's immortal, I expect she'll show up again.
