Star*Reach

STAR*REACH was Mike Friedrich's "ground-level" project, mixing people from the overground of New York's Marvel and DC with the underground of San Francisco's comix - a series that presaged a lot of what came afterward in the comics business.

Mike Vosburg had drawn a story called "Skywalker," and needed a scripter, so I pitched in. I liked the result a lot, and six months later was able to do two issues of Vosburg's DC comic STARFIRE. Don't ask me why it was always stars.
